We spent several days on Edisto Island with my family and had a great time! It was so good to hang out with everyone and watch my parents fawn over their grandchildren. This is a prime example. Look at the big cheesy smiles on their faces. They were just meant to be grandparents. I think they will take that as a compliment...
Vacation has taken on a totally new meaning for me since I became a mother. It's no longer about sitting on the beach all day or finishing 3 books in a week or going on hour-long bike rides. Those are things that I used to love about our family vacations. No, this time was definitely different. None of that stuff happened but it was okay.
Bringing Julia to Edisto was so cool because we have been going there since I was a little kid and it seems like such a familiar, homey place to me. I hope she will feel that way one day too.

Look at this picture, by the way. Those are rolls of cellulite on those cute little legs. And she is still looking adorable.
I hope she doesn't hate me one day for posting this.
And just look at this goofy little cutie pie. Camille was all all over the place. Crawling, cruising, almost walking. I think she will be jogging soon. I love the first picture of Nick and her. I don't know why, I think because it just sums up her little personality. She knows where she's headed and people need to get out of the way. Even people who are roughly 12 times her size.
Jack had a great time, too. It was her first real trip to the beach and she acted like a puppy again.

Chubby baby legs are always cute and the only time dimples on legs are too. She is precious. I did not realize you took Jack. Fun! What a great trip. Vacations certainly do lose there relaxation when you have a baby.
Looks like a lot of fun! And I love those cute little legs! I don't think it's celulight.. but little dimples.. they will soon go away! I love how excited Jack was.. and I love that Cami and Julia got to hangout and be pals for the week also! Looks like a great trip!
I love that the next generation of family beach trippers have started. I agree with Sunday and Courtney, her legs are so cute! And look at you and Stephi all tight and hot in your bathing suits, seriously? Most importantly though, you all look so happy. Beautiful mommies. It snowed here yesterday and supposed to again tomorrow (some weird noreaster has blown in), so to hear you were just at the beach makes me a little depressed. I was at the beach too, in a hoodie and coat!
I'm glad you had such a good trip. Your parents do look like they are in grandparent heaven! Camille and Julia are so sweet together! it's so great that they are so close in age.
so fun. you are a beachin mommy pro now. those legs are awesome, every baby needs a little chubs.
jack is so cute in the video, will really enjoyed watching her jump around, she does look like a puppy again, what young thang.
what a great family you have. beach trip memories are the best.
what on earth are the creatures lurking behind you in the picture of you and julia in that new picture on the side, you look like you are sniffing for them:)
stinky pigs.
What a fun post! It looks like so much fun- as family vacations always are. I'm glad you are starting Julia young, and by blogging about it, she'll be able to look back on this years from now. That will be cool!
