These are pictures of one of my favorite people in the world.  My Grandaddy, Newsome Corbitt, died last month.  I really can't express how difficult this was for me and for my family.  We weren't quite ready for it.  I know I had every hope that we would spend the next 10 or 15 years enjoying Thanksgivings and Christmases at his house.
I will say that he was ready for his death.  My Grandaddy trusted God and his prayer was for God's will to be done in his life.  I am so thankful for his dependence on the Lord.  As hard as it is for me to lose him, and as cliche as it sounds, I believe he is so much happier now than he ever was in life (and he was a very happy person)
Here is a sweet video I came across while looking for pictures of him.

Sigh. Wonderful memories, every one. I love that first picture of grandaddy in the raincoat, that's just how I like to remember him. Thanks for the reminder.

Also, gotta say I love that new lead picture of Julia. Wherever did you find an apron that fits her so perfectly? She looks like Santa's prettiest little elf, can't wait to hug her.

Ah, so sweet...and so sad. I know there is a void, but you know he is dancing in heaven...just like that sweet picture of you and him. Love you!

What a good way to remember him, looking at old pictures and thinking of what you loved about him!
He seems like an incredible man!
I think your mom talks just like him too, so you can hear him in her:)
