Well, here it is. We have finally started a blog. My years of watching and reading from the sidelines are at an end. I guess because of everything that has been going on in our lives lately, I decided I actually have something to write about now.
So, we're pregnant. Let's start with that. Here is my first attempt at a belly shot. I'm only 11 weeks, so keep that in mind. But, still, there is definitely a little bit of rounding going on below the belt. Look how happy I am that my pants are getting tighter.
Nick and I also heard the hearbeat the other day at our doctor's appointment. It was so COOL! The doctor was hunting around for the baby and found my heartbeat first. When she finally found the baby's, the contrast was incredible! It is so fast! I can't imagine why it needs to be that fast, but it is a pretty amazing sound. Here, I'll let you hear it for yourself:
You know, it was so exciting, but I don't think it really hit me until I got home that night and started thinking about it. It started to sink in that there really is a person inside me. Even though I feel and look pretty much the same, there's something growing in there. Sorry if I'm grossing anybody out. But you have to admit it is an amazing thing that's going on.

LOVE IT!!! I am so excited that you started this blog. you will of course be added to my blog list. you look cute as ever. i know you insist that there is rounding, but i don't see it just yet. it is really amazing that there is a tiny little human with an amazing heart beat in there, says a lot huh?
Jeremiah and I tried to be the first to sign but Sunday is quicker on the draw, having a blog now you will find that to be true. I'm very proud of you for starting a blog and for posting a picture of yourself with your belly showing in the first post! Love the photos of the new house, can't wait to see it and until you're in. Niki, I moved twice while I was pregnant with Nick and Jeremiah was a little over 2 yrs. We moved everything into a tiny house in West Ash. and used one room for storage, then my friends had to do the packing and moving for me because we moved to the new house a month before Nick came. Fun, fun, fun! I can relate. Love you, all three!! See you soon.
