Relatively Roomy

We've moved! And we're moving again soon. Now, I know many of you have done this before but has anyone out there ever moved twice in two months while pregnant? If you have, I commend you. Please call me. Maybe you can talk me through the next one. I can't take all of the credit (or really any at all) because of all the help we got from our family and friends. You guys know who you are and we are so thankful to you! We (Nick) would surely still be working if you hadn't helped.
We sold our house and are in the process of building a new one. So our temporary housing is a tiny but very nice 2 bedroom apartment. I think it feels tinier than it actually is because we are using the two bedrooms for storage and are sleeping in the relatively roomy kitchen/breakfast nook. So, I am right now in the office and able to see the refrigerator, living room couch, and bed simultaneously from where I sit. I'm not complaining. I'm really not, I'm actually kind of enjoying the challenge. (Surprise, surprise) We'll see how long that lasts.

So here are some pictures that should give you a little taste of our life right now.

Jack adapts pretty easily.

The Bedroom/Kitchen/Office

And, just so I won't leave you without any hope for my future, here are the latest pictures of our new house. Hopefully it's only a month away from being finished. Give or take.

The living room and kitchen

The nursery

I LOVE this house and I can't wait to be in it. It already feels homey to me even without paint or furniture. It also has a great big backyard that is perfect for a garden and a dog. And maybe a swingset.

Your new house looks great! I love the slanted ceiling in the nursery with skylight. So your latest digs look like out apartment...welcome to city life! No, we actually do have a bedroom, so I don't want that to sway you from visiting! And the whole moving twice thing...only you Niki, I think anyone else would have a breakdown! Again, I can't get over how happy I am for you guys.

Well, you are a trooper and handling it all so well. Who knew "nesting" would entail quite so much. I really will help on the next one I promise.

Oh the life of a builder's wife! I feel your pain to some extent. We moved when I was 8 months pregnant with each boy. Actually it was probably easier to do then than at your stage. No one would let me lift anything and at least I wasn't nauseous. Your new house looks great! I can't wait to go through the agony of moving again this time around. You'll have to let us help with your next move.

there's something in the way she moves... think the beatles wrote that about a pregnant woman that moves from house to house:) Probably well criginally anyway:) I'll say it before and I will say it again I admire anyone who can move while pregnant, I know I could not have been able to handle it so well. I'm excited to watch the nursery unfold

I can't believe you are moving twice in 2 months.. and all while being pregnant! I haven't done that.. but I have moved twice.. in a short period of time.. so I still understand how overwhelming it can be!

I can't wait to see the new house more in person! But from the pictures I can tell it's going to be awesome!

I miss you and I love you!!!!

All this will be a short time in the big scheme of things, you and nick and baby swann will look back on this and laugh one day. That helps me to think about when things are a little "tight"
I can't wait to see your cute new house. i know it will be perfect.
