Somebody's a Bookworm

This was a funny moment that I managed to capture last night. I'm so proud of my little reader who is almost too focused to eat her dinner.

She is TOTALLY your daughter! Little miss bookworm is going to start doing math for FUN next! You know I've got nothing but love for you Niki! I love how she never even looks up at whoever is feeding her.

None taken, Annie. I hope she turns out to have a little bit of nerd in her. :)

Nothing like kicking back with a good book. She's sure to be a good reader. She is also such a good eater! Look at how she just opens up her adorable little mouth. btw, I love your fridge magnets, gotta get some of those!

I was going to write what Annie said, just like her mama! Soon she will be reading books off of her blackberry. I really like that the next spoonful is expected! I have read that book, Ellen has it, and IT IS quite the page turner! ball, hoop, well I won't spoil the ending

This is such a great video, it captures the independence of self entertainment while showing a total reliance on mom to satisfy her needs. Abraham Lincoln said "You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence". It is great to watch Julia's character and courage emerge.

I love that she doesn't let the food distract her, just opens her mouth and ready. Niki, you to a good job of not letting the book get in your way too! Sorry I missed you guys while you were here, I just hated that. But thanks for keeping us posted on sweet Miss Julia's doings here. She is getting so big and is more adorable with each picture and video.
